Common Questions

What does the widget display?
The widget shows a district's key calendar dates: first and last day of school, winter break, spring break, and holidays. Data is sourced from the district's official website and refreshed daily.
How does the calendar stay up to date?
Our pipeline monitors official district websites daily for calendar updates. When a district revises its schedule — a rescheduled snow day, a changed last day — the widget reflects the new dates automatically. You never need to update the embed code.
How do I add it to WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace?
WordPress: Add a Custom HTML block and paste the iframe code.
Wix: Drag an HTML iframe element onto your page and paste the code.
Squarespace: Insert a Code Block and paste the iframe directly.
No plugins or extensions required. Any platform that accepts HTML will work.
Is it really free?
Yes. No registration, no API key, no ongoing cost. The widget is free for schools, PTAs, parent organizations, and community sites. If you're building a commercial application with multiple district calendars, see the Developers page for API options.
Which districts are covered?
We currently cover districts across Texas, Colorado, and Florida — from large urban systems like Austin ISD and Houston ISD to small rural districts. Coverage is expanding continuously toward all 13,000+ US public school districts. Browse available districts to check if yours is included.
How accurate is the data?
Every calendar entry links back to the official source document on the district's website so visitors can verify dates independently. If a district hasn't published its calendar for the current school year, the widget shows no data rather than stale information.
